The Professional Towing & Recovery Operators of Illinois (PTROI) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to:
a. Serve the public interest.
b. Provide safe, professional, and timely towing and recovery services through the use of quality equipment, modern technology, and well-trained, courteous personnel.
c. Foster strong cooperative relationships with law enforcement and other governmental agencies.
d. Promote the economic stability and success of its members through education, information sharing, and collaborative programs that improve efficiency and reduce costs.
e. Encourage professional, ethical, and cooperative relationships among towing and recovery companies and their principals.
f. Strengthen relationships between PTROI members, government agencies, affiliated businesses, and the public to promote a better understanding of the towing and recovery industry's role and contributions.
g. Support fair and effective legislation and regulatory policies that advance professionalism, public safety, and the continued growth of the towing and recovery industry.
As a PTROI Member, I agree to:
a. Support the principles of free enterprise and ethical business practices.
b. Conduct business with integrity, honesty, fairness, professionalism, and courtesy toward the public, fellow members, customers, and industry partners.
c. Maintain clean, professional equipment and present a professional appearance at all times.
d. Comply with all applicable federal, state, county, and local laws, regulations, and licensing requirements.
e. Ensure all advertising, marketing, and business communications are truthful and accurate, and honor all commitments made in the course of business.
f. Report suspected violations of applicable laws or regulations to the Association when appropriate and support efforts to uphold industry standards.
g. Continuously improve business practices, safety procedures, employee training, and operational excellence to better serve the public and uphold the mission of PTROI.
h. Members shall demonstrate professionalism, respect, and accountability in all interactions with customers, law enforcement, motorists, fellow members, and the communities they serve.
